Statistics

The site counts visits with its own simple statistics: no cookies, no advertising or third-party trackers. A visitor is counted as a hash of the IP address and browser with a secret that changes every day, so the same person can't be recognised from one day to the next, and the IP address itself is never stored. What is kept: the page, the site you came from and any campaign tags in the link, country and city (as reported by Cloudflare), device, browser and operating system, time on the page and how far it was scrolled. It is used only to see how the site is doing.

Likes and walk-off votes

They are anonymous. A random id saved in your browser remembers which loops you liked and how you voted.

Your loop in the world

When you make a loop at loopparade.com/world, the loop itself (its colour, face, hat and walk), its number and a random key are kept so your loop can come back to you, and a random id with that key is saved in your browser. There is no account and no name you type.

Email for the opening

While the world is not open yet, you can leave your email to hear when it opens. We first ask the year you were born, only to decide whether to ask for an email at all: we ask from 16 on, and we don't keep the year. If you leave your email, we keep it with your language and where your visit came from (for example a link's campaign tag). We use it to tell you when the world opens and, rarely, about big news, and for nothing else. Every email has a link to stop them, or write to us and we delete your address.

If we use a service to send the emails, it will get your address only to send them, and we will name it here.

Where it is kept

Everything above is stored with Cloudflare, which runs this site. Nothing collected here is sold or shared with anyone else.
